I ordered a set of these last week and tried them out over the weekend (and mentioned them on The Parlor). I have only taken them for one test drive but the results were impressive.

Interesting, I'm in need of new grates. I wonder how they would hold up on a TEC Infrared.

Probably just fine. They distribute heat evenly just like an infrared so you could probably use a slightly lower heat setting. The best part is that they sit right on top of your existing grates so no install required.
